Crisis Intervention for Child Victims of Sexual Abuse
PEI Kids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a safe environment for all children. We are seeking your help for our Crisis Intervention for Child Victims of Sexual Abuse program which provides free, professional, therapeutic counseling for child victims of sexual abuse at no charge to victims or their families.
In addition to one-on-one counseling, we also offer support groups for teen victims of sexual abuse and for mothers and daughters impacted by sexual abuse. Each year, we counsel an average of 180 children, and to avoid reducing our levels of service to children in need, we are seeking your help to meet our goal of providing 120 counseling sessions(at our cost of $103 per session) for 10 children, who will each receive an average of 12 sessions of counseling. Your support will help enable us to meet the needs of child victims of sexual abuse in our community by providing Trauma-focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and journeying with them on a path of healing.
PEI Kids is the only agency in the region offering this specialized counseling and support for child victims of sexual abuse. Therefore, we are grateful for any support you can provide to help us meet this goal and provide much-needed therapy and support so children and families can recover from the trauma of sexual abuse.
