Crime Files: Unfinished Business
Television Docu-Series

Summary
In the past, criminal investigators and law enforcement did not have access to today’s digital world, limiting their research capabilities and getting help from the public. This often led cases to go cold for lack of information. But now with expanded information access through digital means, we would like to revisit past cold cases through a new TV docu-series called Crime Files: Unfinished Business in order to shed new light on unsolved cases. Therefore, we are asking for donations to bring the television pilot episode to life in order to pitch to TV networks.

Show Synopsis
“Crime Files: Unfinished Business” is a cinematic, thought provoking, one hour, television docu-series that provides an intimate look at cold cases. The show will highlight one unsolved case each episode and will organize all the known evidence in chronological, cinematic style in order to explain who, what, when and how did the investigation go “cold.” Therefore, given today’s advancement in technology, the Crime Files online, digital, and television platforms will function as an ongoing reference point for law enforcement and the community, so that potentially new evidence can be provided at anytime, by anyone who has information on the incident.

Show Premise
Lieutenant John Wood, a 28-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department, will visually and vocally narrate Crime Files. He will provide the audience a glimpse into his thoughts and experiences in and around the case. In addition, family, friends, investigators, forensic experts and others with vital information will share their views and knowledge on the episode’s case.  As a result, impactful stories are delivered to the fresh eyes of the audience, providing an unprecedented opportunity to “bridge-the-evidence” with the hope of bringing closure to unsolved crimes.

Where Will the Funds It Will Go?

We are asking for donations in the total of $50,000. The funds raised will go toward productions cost, editing, graphics, fact checking, permits, archive procurement, and acquiring the necessary software and hardware needed. The funds will also help the show promote the revisiting of cold cases for the purpose of clarity and new information. There is no donation that is too great or too small. Your generosity is received with sincere gratitude.
