On Wednesday, September 9th, my friend and coworker Stephen and his band Creatio were in a horrible car crash. They have been touring around the country since August 22nd. For musicians, we know how hard it is and how hard one has to work to bring their dreams to reality, and the significant amount of capital that has to be raised just to get from one step to another in our musical journey; and it's even harder to do that when a band is touring.
As they were exiting the highway, the brakes on their truck failed, causing the crash. While Stephen came out with minor injuries, his other bandmates were not so fortunate. One of the members is currently in ICU, and another had received a fractured collarbone and severe lacerations to his face.
As a music community, be it an artist, fan, friend, we are all an inter-connected family. All of the proceeds from this will go straight to their hospital bills. I ask that as a music family, we all come together and help support the members of Creatio in this difficult time. Any size contribution will be greatly appreciated.
