Family, Friends, and Compassionate Strangers:
On October 16th, 2018, Craig Allen Horst was involved in a major car accident that has resulted in severe damage to his spinal cord. “Craigy” is the little brother of the Horst family and the youngest son of Stan Horst -- if you’ve been to the disco in their area, then you’ve probably seen Craig up there bopping, bouncing, and getting down with his Dad and brother Cory.
Craig is a single father, and has been doing everything he can to ensure that his three children have a fun, loving, and safe environment to grow up in. And he has been doing a great job. Unfortunately, the journey that Craig and his children are facing has just become so much tougher as the seriousness of his injury is assessed. The medical bills are already growing, adding yet another challenge as Craig tries to focus on his recovery and does his best to ensure his children continue to move forward with their lives.
The road ahead for Craig will be a hard one, requiring him to dig deeper than ever and to look from time to time to “Uncle Mike” for guidance and support from above. Craig will have to accept “that’s what family is for,” and not be afraid to ask for help.
