Technology in the Classroom

I am a special education teacher at a school in the Germantown area of Philadelphia. The students I serve have severe academic and behavioral/emotional support needs. The varying reading levels within the classroom make lessons and activities more individualized rather than cooperative. I'm hoping with the incorporation of educational technology resources, I can better promote collaboration among the students. 

I'm asking for funding to purchase a MacBook Pro and additional items to use with my students. 

I'm currently enrolled as a graduate student in an Educational Technology Certificate program. I've been learning about how incorporating technology into the classroom could better reach students varying learning styles. My students can use the MacBook Pro to create anything from movie trailers about a book they read using iMovie to an electronic book embedded with videos and hyperlinks with iBooks Author.
