Cowboy Needs Surgery

Many of you recall the tragic accident on August 8th, 2016 when Cowboy fell off of a 300 foot sheer cliff, and surgeries needed to fix his leg from the fall.  After your generous help, he healed, and found a fantastic forever home.

Cowboy needs our help again. Literally overnight he has developed a very serious septic infection in the left knee of the back leg that was broken in his fall. He is no longer bearing weight, he is in pain, and his leg is severely swollen. During an appointment with his original surgeon today, it was recommended that he have another surgery to clean out the infection, determine its cause, remove the hardware implanted to heal the bone, flush out the site several times over the next few days in order to save his leg, and potentially his life. He will likely be in the hospital for 7-10 days. The cost estimates for this care range from $7,000-$15,000, more if there are complications.
