I came across a Facebook status on 10/4/19 about an old gentleman who is 87 years old.
He paid a man who advertised in a local newsletter to charge £670 to tidy up his garden and sort his flower beds etc to make everything look nice.
The scammer pushed for the money upfront from the old gentleman and left the gentleman with an absolute mess of a garden and didn’t come back to fix or even bother to complete it.
I find this absolutely heartbreaking and I cannot physically understand how you could do this to someone especially of this age.
I couldn’t sit back and do nothing - I would love nothing more than to raise the funds that this poor man basically got stolen off him, I hope and pray in society that we are able to achieve this - as I have a grandfather of the similar age I can’t even imagine if this was to happen to him.
I have contacted the owner of the status and I am receiving the gentleman’s details so we are able to give him the money
