Courtney's ruptures appendix

Courtney unexpectedly became ill and was hospitalized on May 9th due to a ruptured appendix. The seriousness of her injury became quickly apparent as the physician began to explain the options she now faces. She is fighting a major infection at this time and once discharged from the hospital will require home health care assistance for at least two weeks while physicians monitor for the opportunity to conduct an appendectomy through outpatient surgery. Fortunately for now the ability to drain the infection coupled with antibiotics has proved to be successful.

This is significant in that Courtney is a self-employed horse trainer who lives on her own. This unfortunate illness is further compounded by her finding out that there was a glitch with her medical health coverage through the Florida Market place, and at this time it is uncertain as to what medical expenses will be covered.

She will be out of work for at least 6 weeks and it would be a blessing if we can take away some of her worries by raising funds to help cover medical and living expenses.
