Cotswold Way Fundraising Challenge
Donation protected
WE DID IT! Exhausted, emotional, but totally elated - we made it home, together, in 34 hours!
You can read a bit more about the walk itself in our final update.
*****
On 29th and 30th June 2019, we will be walking 100km (60 miles) non-stop from Bath to Cheltenham, along the Cotswold Way.
This epic walk will take us a bit over 24 hours (we hope!)
We are taking on this slightly crazy challenge to raise money for four charities:
Newbridge Primary School Association (NPSA)
We became friends because we all have children in the same year at Newbridge Primary School. They are in year 6 now and will be starting secondary school in September (gulp!). It was a desire to do something fun and challenging to mark this milestone in the lives of our children (and in our lives too) that led us to the Cotswold Way Challenge. So, by way of a massive thank you to Newbridge for everything the school has given our children, we have decided to donate 50% of the money we raise to the school.
The remaining 50% will be split between three other important charities: Allergy UK, Cancer Research UK, and the NSPCC
Our training is underway, and we have already completed a number of long walks, including a night walk and a very wet early morning tramp from the Tormarton Interchange back to Bath! We'll be uploading glamorous (ahem!) photos and information on our training walks in the 'updates' section (above) so you can see just how hard - or not - we're working to get fit for this challenge.
Anything you can afford to donate to help us in our fundraising efforts will be very greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Amanda, Emma, Joanne, Katherine & Katy xxxxx
