Cooper Family Medical Bills and Support

The great thing about growing up in southern AZ is being a part of a community who feels like family, several people have asked about a GoFund Me account for both my dad and my sister. Many of you know that my dad, Jeffrey Cooper, was bitten by a black-tail rattle snake on the evening of July 28th, inconveniently 3 days before he was going to have Medicare or insurance coverage at all. He was airlifted to UMC and spent 3 days in the hospital with NO INSURANCE. The antivenom alone is costing my parents about $23,000. While of course he now has great insurance and is covered, they are facing about $90,000 total for all expenses after the bite. He has had 2 surgeries and is looking at another skin graft.  In addition to this, my sister, Emily Cooper, and her daughters, 8 and 11 went through a terrible violent tragedy the night of 10/4/19. While Emily does have AZ Medicaid Insurance and is covered in that way, my parents are taking on full care of not just Emily but both girls as well.  Emily suffered 5 stabs wounds to her neck and back along with a collapsed lung and a brain bleed. She needs assistance with walking, eating, and bathing. Emily, my dad and the girls will need to be transported to Tucson for several counseling and doctor appointments. Many of you were kind enough to help Emily and the girls out last October when they lost their home and all belongings to a house fire. They are yet again uprooted from their home with alot of healing to do. We know that it is not always easy to donate and appreciate all of the kind messages people have already sent.
