I have had the pleasure of working with the awesome people at the King Center by providing Zumba Fitness to the folks of North Philadelphia. Since November 2018, the King center has provided a safe, body positive space for me to share the gift of the popular and awesome cardio fitness program of Zumba.
Sadly, the air conditioning unit is well beyond its shelf life making it near impossible to teach a class safely once the summer begins. I first began the campaign to provide a heavy duty window unit for the room I utilize each week. But I think that the community I love and grew up in can come together to provide units for the other rooms.
If not, I am hoping to still get at least the one large unit.
These other rooms are used for all kinds of activities for our community from daycare, parties to program meetings and so much more.
I ask that you please donate to great cause and organization and show our city how we can come together when sometimes budgets and bottom lines will not.
