Hi, I'm Cookie and I'm raising funds for an expedition in the Scottish Highlands and to make a film about my journey.

This started as a personal challenge, to push myself out of my comfort zone after overcoming decades of stress, PTSD, agoraphobia, addiction, depression, breakdowns and low self-esteem; it's turned into a wish to help encourage others to know that there is life after mental illness.

Why I've turned to GoFundMe: my followers have for years been suggesting I start a campaign and I've always avoided it (that low self-worth thing again!). I've more confidence now and am taking the plunge, going out of my comfort zone and asking for help. 


What I've got: trolley, tent, sleeping bag, gadgets, recording equipment, clothing etc. 
What I need: help with paying for campsites, the odd inn, gas and food.
