My biggest goals are to be able to fund going to massage school to pursue my Holistic Health Practitioner License, with an emphasis on prenatal and post partum care, complete training for WRT Water Release Therapy, attend a Yoga Teacher Training, and to one day complete training to practice Osteopathy, also with an emphasis on maternal care.
To help fund these goals, I am donating half of everything I earn from my private body work clients and yoga classes to reach this goal. I'll also be doing research on the different grants I'm eligible for so I can be a part of manifesting my dreams into reality.
I’ve been practicing yoga and massage for many years amongst my friends and am ready to pursue higher education! I want to be able to care for many more people beyond just my friend group, specifically families, and that means the education and certifications have to be there. As a thoughtful body mover I’ve launched one parent/child class covering basic parter and acro yoga poses for bonding and trust, as well as leading groups of my friends. As a body worker I’ve trained in Reiki and use my intuition to guide the people I work on toward peace and greater mobility.
I'm breaking these BIG goals down into phases...
Massage Therapy
Part One: reaching $3000 to attend the Massage Practitioner's 250 hour course at Santa Barbara Body Therapy Institute in the fall of 2018
DONE!
Part Two: reaching $7200 (including the original $3000) to continue with SBBTI's program for the Massage Therapist's 500 course after I complete the 250 hour course.
YTC: reaching the goal of $12,000 (including the original $7200) to attend the Yoga Teacher Training at White Lotus Foundation, a globally recognized certification program right here in the mountains of Santa Barbara in 2019.
After the completion of these programs I hope to continue my education in the healing arts through pursuit of a Holistic Practitioner's License as well as any other opportunities that present themselves. I hope you'll stick around for the journey! :)
My dream is to support families on their journey into parenthood, finding peace and grace in this most challenging and beautiful co-creative endeavor. I’ve launched a website and business profiles in social media to begin sharing my story, my hopes and my philosophy. I’m so inspired to affect real change in the world, I would be so honored to accept your help in achieving these goals!
