Some people have dreams that they will marry a kind and beautiful man or woman and have children. Others wish to go to an elite college and do what they love. Well, Connor Grafon has a very simple dream that people may take for granted: he desires to walk and be independent. Connor was a miracle baby. He and his twin brother were born prematurely at twenty-six weeks. At birth, Connor was only one pound and eleven ounces. He was and is a fighter, and as of now, he is fifteen years old. Connor is very kind and has a very good humor. However, he has two main disabilities: PVL and spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Due to this, Connor is dependent on his wheelchair and is unable to walk. He has muscle spasms in his legs, not to mention that they are very tight and stiff. It is getting harder and harder for Connor's parents to transport him to places, like getting him in and out of the bathtub and his wheelchair. What makes this worse is that Connor's mother has a physical disorder herself, which means that it is harder than usual for her to take care of Connor. However, there is a chance for Connor to be able to walk and to get rid of his medicine and painful botox injections for spasticity. Lately, we have found out about SPML surgery, a life-changing procedure that can help us in our pursuit to help Connor be able to walk. We talked to Dr. Yngve in Galveston, Texas on the phone, and Connor is a very good candidate for this procedure. He said that Kevin, his twin brother, might also be a good candidate because of his diplegia cerebral palsy. However, our family needs help to pay for the medical bills, trip, transportation, equipment, and motel. Od poczatku jest Wojownikiem, walczyl o zycie bardzo dlugo. Mial przeprowadzona operacje serduszka, oczu i nozek. Pomimo wielu terapii samodzielnie nie chodzi. Ma stwierdzone dwa powazne schozenia: PVL i PORAZENIE MOZGOWE (rak i nog). Pomimo swojego kalectwa , codziennego zmagania sie z bolem jest bardzo pogodny i ma duze poczucie humoru. Jest zdany we wszystkim na innych, przede wszystkim rodzicow, no i niestety wozek inwalidzki. Dostaje bolesne skurcze miesni i ma bardzo duza sztywnosc calego ciala, przez co jest jeszcze ciezszy. Connor ma 15 lat i wazy 160 funtow. Jest coraz ciezej, zeby go transferowac. Mama Connorka ma tez problemy zdrowotne. Jest duza szansa, zeby postawic Connorka na nogi i zeby pozbyl sie bolu, lekarstw i bolesnych zastrzykow. Dowiedzielismy sie, ze jest operacja, ktora pomoglaby Connorkowi zaczac chodzic. Skontaktowalismy sie z doctor Yngve z Texasu i okazalo sie, ze Connor jest bardzo dobrym kandydatem do tej procedury. Niestety koszt takiej operacji, transpot tam i koszty podrozy przekraczaja mozliwosci finansowe Connorka rodzicow. Z uwagi na ciezki stan chlopca tylko tata pracuje i nie maja duzych dochodow. Kazdy najmniekszy datek, nawet 1 dolar i dzielenie sie jego historia np na Facebook czy Tweet pomoze spelnic marzenie Connorka o samodzienym chodzeniu.
