Medical Fund for Connor Sampson
On Thursday, February 16, Connor Sampson was taken to the emergency room by his parents Ryan and Alise when he became unresponsive after weeks of fighting what seemed like a severe cold. The doctors in the ER, unclear as to what could be causing his alarming symptoms chose to have him life-flighted to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City where the medical specialists treating Connor are diligently working to discover a solid diagnosis and begin a treatment plan to get him back to his healthy, happy self.
Upon arrival at Children's Mercy, a spinal tap was performed and came back abnormal so there was an initial thought of meningitis with some of the syptoms such as focal seizures and body rash aligning with that type of diagnosis; though further testing has ruled that out. Many more tests have been and continue to be performed with the most recent being an angiography to check for medium and large vein vasculitis in the brain.
Ryan and Alise are eagerly waiting for a solid diagnosis and a plan to get Connor on the road to recovery. In the meantime, I've set up this fund, to help alleviate some of the stress of the financial burden associated with this heartbreaking and difficult period for them. 
All of us have had either our own children or other loved ones get a seemingly simple illness and we hope and pray it never becomes something as serious and confusing as what Connor is battling, but we can imagine how emotionally stressful it would be if we were faced with such a situation. Let's all come together and show support for Ryan and Alise in any way that we can; whether that be a kind message letting them know we are thinking of them, or a financial gift to help out which I know would be greatly appreciated.
