Connie May Fowler's Medical Expenses Fund

Dear Fellow Writers and Friends,
Our beloved Connie May Fowler has a serious medical issue that requires surgery and post-surgical follow-up treatments for a severe endometrial disease and growths that must be removed.
She signed up for health insurance in Mexico when she moved there but it takes two years to become effective; she is 11 months away from coverage. Since her position at VCFA is considered part-time she does not receive health insurance as a faculty member. The hospital policy in Mexico is quite different than in the USA. Connie will have to pay in full for her surgery and treatments prior to her surgery. As you can imagine, the stress of her medical crisis coupled with this financial stress is mounting to a high level.
Our dear teacher, mentor, friend needs our help now.
Connie is currently in the final revision process of her latest novel and she is preparing for the VCFA Winter Residency in Cozumel scheduled for the beginning of January 2019. The timing of her medical crisis could not come at a worst time.
I am writing on her behalf to implore you to help relieve her stress by donating today. Every donation will help bring Connie the financial resources needed to get her health back in tip top shape.
Connie has given me and all of her students immeasurable guidance, inspiration, and a boatload of love. Reading her novels and memoirs has given us hours and hours of pleasure.
