Connection is the opposite of Isolation.
ISOLATION is a reality for many ADDICTS. Our message is that “CONNECTION” and “RECOVERY” can help stop the overdose crisis.
Last year we lost 922 individuals to overdoses in the lower mainland alone, this year, we’re on track to lose even more. This crisis affects us all. Last Door Recovery Society’s "Connection Project" helps connect people to their community, giving them a sense of PURPOSE, a sense of PRIDE.
Hosting community events has been a large part of Last Door’s 33 year history. Each year we seek donations from stakeholders and supporters to help fund our community events. $60,000 will help cover the costs of producing these events for all to enjoy.
There is a need for more events to keep young people engaged in substance free, recovery lifestyles.
Your donation will impact individuals, families, neighborhoods, towns, and cities.
Help us break the silence of addiction, it’s time to come together, talk about, and celebrate recovery.
Last Door’s community events are driven by a team of hundreds of volunteers and donations from people, just like you.
Every dollar spent on RECOVERY saves over $4 on ADDICTION related health care costs.
This year's "Connection Project" fundraiser will help produce the following events:
• Family Fun Day June 3rd
• Clean Sober Proud, which features outreach booths and substance free zones at local Pride Festivals running from June to September
• The Recovery Parade Float and the Untoxicated Street Festival at Vancouver Pride August 6th
• Sports Day, August 26th
• The Recovery Capital Conference of Canada, September 7th and 8th
• Ride Out for Recovery, September 16th
• Horticultural Therapy at Keystone Retreat
• Family Program for family members
Last Door Recovery Society is a registered charity and operates accredited addiction treatment programs for youth and adults. All donations over $50 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
With your support the message of RECOVERY will be heard, and seen by over a million people and FELT by tens of thousands. Let’s do everything we can to CONNECT people this year.

• $50 Donations will receive a charitable tax receipt
• $100 Donations will receive a social media thank you
• $500 Donations will receive mentions at our events
• $1,000 Donations will have a choice of being an "Event Sponsor" or a recipient of a "Leave your Mark Plaque"
• $5,000 Donations or more will have a choice of being an Event Sponsor for multiple events or a recipient of a premium "Leave your Mark Plaque"
