Childrens Alopecia Project

Tax deductible

Hello Everyone,

Renee here!  I am one of the many who has Alopecia, this occurs when the immune system attacks hair follicles and you are left with hair loss all over you body.  As with anything in life, this disease come with advantages and disadvantages.

Bald spots on the top of my head, hair coming out in your hand during showers, and bullies. Oh the bullies! High School was the worst time for this to happen but I was fortunate enough to find more advantages.  For the most part, I tried hard not to let anything to do with Alopecia get to me.

Thanks to social media, I was able to connect with many who also have Alopecia,  but have not met one in person yet. Thinking about this, I realized that it is much more different talking to someone who knows exactly what you are going through.

My hairloss has taught me to find strength within myself and want to start a journey to help others do the same.  CAP Kids is amazing with making this happen for children.  Learning about what they do, I wanted to help out in anyway I could. What better way to bring people together than with music?

Childrens Alopecia Project is an amazing non-profit organization that provides support and builds self-esteem to children who have Alopecia. They have regional  and international annual camps. Within these camps children get to meet others with Alopecia and get to become life long friends who can connect and relate to each other.

My goal is to raise money for as many children as I can. It takes about $250 per child to go to camp,  so I am planning a benefit concert. Every penny we get will go to CAP. This will take place in Downtown Sacramento, California at Cesar E. Chavez Plaza on September 23rd, 2017.

We will have many artists who are going to be a part of this amazing event. This concert will be for all ages, there will be fun activities such as balloon artists, face painting, princess/princes,delicious food trucks and amazing companies with amazing products!

All donations are greatly appreciated.
