Concerned Citizens Operations Fund

Stop Premium Iowa Pork(PIP)!!! That's the goal of the newly organized group, Concerned Citizens for Smart Growth . . . and we need your help!!! PIP proposes to construct a 700 hog per day slaughterhouse at the site of the former Driftless Meats building on Three Chimney Road, just off Highway 14 between Viroqua and Westby, Wisconsin. If you don't know, this facility is located in prime and pristine farming and residential land half way between Viroqua and Westby. And it is a mere stone's throw from the local bike trail connecting these two towns. This is not the place for a 700 hog per day industrial, mega-slaughterhouse! Please help us get the word out but considering a donation to the organization. The funds will be used to purchase yard signs, bill boards and to flood the public and media with information about the horrors a mega-slauhterhouse will bring to our community. This slaughterhouse will not benefit our county but it will benefit a rich, out of state corporation and we want to stop that.
