Compassion in action for Tashi

Hi everyone!


Meet this kind human being, Tashi Penjor (male), 39yrs of age. He came to New York to change the fate of his family, to support his kids and his parents in rural Bhutan.  He was doing really well in the beginning and had a great support system with his new found extended family. He was working day and night driving Uber but always made a point to be there for his friends whenever they needed him.

Unfortunately, not all things work out the way we want them to.  We recently found out that he is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer which was a huge shock for everyone. He is currently undergoing chemo therapy all the while seeing different doctors for other treatment options. Given the side effects of his chemotherapy and other health issues, he is unable to work anymore and his medical bills are adding up along with rent and other utilities. Tashi has a long road ahead of him in this battle and will continue to fight, if for no other reason than to watch his three young kids grow up, but now he needs little help from all of us.

In this day and age, money can be tight but a small amount on your part will go long way in easing things for our friend. Please help us help him by contributing what you can. No amount is small or big and we will be extremely thankful for anything you can contribute. We are more than grateful to all those who came to see him. A smile and a cheer can go a long way too.  We’re hoping for a little more help from our friends who are not near to us but are willing to help.  Let’s help him fight this fight together!
