Community Center for Teens In MA

I am asking for help to create a safe haven for  Jr. high/high school students aged 13-17  that regularly attend academic classes within Springfield, MA . In wake of carnage and disregard for life regarding school mass shootings, I would like to obtain a space that youth can attend after school and during the summer. This will be a non-profit organization. I know in my heart  if we can give teens a place to feel welcomed and to come as they are, we together can make a positive change and provide redirection, help them develop interpersonal skills, raise self esteem, and confidence levels.    I will all so be seeking weekly assistance within the community to provide mental health services and  volunteers to see this dream through. I am asking those that are able to help myself and my husband achieve this goal either by volunteering services i.e.: obtaining a location, providing professional services, providing locations for sports activities, culinary services or fundraising to please contact me. It is a much needed communal necessity for these types of youth centers to be accessible in all areas of our communities.  I am one of those rare people that would never have to know you and give you my last dime, or the shirt of my back I am a parent that wants to contribute my time & effort in helping our youth in a positive structured environment. I have served my country, and am true to my word.  Anything that you can provide no matter the amount will be greatly and deeply appreciated, I invite all donors to contact me if you have any questions, thoughts or concerns . This is a national problem and we need more of you to step up and assist in anyway possible.  Services will be at no cost to families, one hot meal will be provided, art, mental health services with the help of our communal professionals , round table discussions, horticulture, sports, field trips, fun friendly judge free environment.  I am also currently looking for youth partners to assist in the planning, and future of our teen youth center to work closely with our adult team members throughout the summer.
