Community Equity Event

First, this event is a proud creation of LAOUT's Equity Committee. It will take place on Saturday, November 17th, 2018, and it will be FREE of charge to all LAOUT community members, friends, and family regardless of how much money we raise through this campaign. But...we are trying to raise money; and here's why:
We've hired Cadoux Consulting to help engage the LAOUT community in conversation across difference on sexism, racism, classism, and other systems of oppression as we continue to work towards making LA's ultimate community more equitable. To bring this fantastic group in, LAOUT is spending a considerable amount of money which will impact our expected spending on Equity for the year. That being said, we believe this event will inspire discussions and action plans to kick LAOUT into gear in regards to equity. Hence, we are reaching out to you to provide your support not only for this event, but to help replenish our Equity budget so we can continue creating great equity programming inspired by this event.
GOALS

- Our simultaneous goal is to raise at least $1,000 to continue running inspired equity programming through 2018, 2019, and beyond.
Many group and individual conversations have been taking place in our community over the past year (plus) and we're hoping to bring those all together into a larger community conversation. This will be a chance to learn, engage, and share your opinions on various issues impacting our community and lives in LA. Help spread the word about this event, about this campaign, and about why equity matters; and help ensure we have the funds to continue creating a more understanding ultimate community by donating today. Cadoux Consulting is run by Zara Cadoux who is a trained facilitator and equity specialist. She and her team of trained facilitators (all ultimate players) have lead sessions on equity with groups including: USA Ultimate Board of Directors, World Flying Disc Federation Women in Sport Commission, Washington Area Frisbee Club, DiscNY, Minnesota Youth Ultimate, Upwind, Five Ultimate, and the DC Breeze.
