Colter's Stem Cell Autism Treatment

Donation protected
Our 5 year old beautiful son, Colter Schuetz, needs your help. Colter was diagnosed with autism shortly after the age of 2. Up to that point he was developing ahead of schedule and exceeding his milestones. He was talking, singing, counting, saying his ABC's, and more. All of a sudden he lost all of these abilities around his 2nd birthday and we received his diagnosis of autism just a few months later.

We have tried different therapies, diets, and biomedical treatments for Colter and while we've seen some progress, it has been minimal. He will be 5 years old in October and although we are proud of the progresses he has made, we know that he is capable of more.

We have done research on just about every type of treatment available, specifically stem cell therapy for autism. There have been many amazing success stories with children like Colter who have received stem cells and have seen huge gains within months of treatment.

Children that were nonverbal are able to speak and express themselves. They begin to read and play with other children and more. It is like they are brought back into this world and out of the autistic one that they were confined in.

Some people may be concerned with some of the negative/unethical methods regarding stem cells and how they are obtained, but the type of treatment we are looking into for Colter is not controversial. The treatment we are seeking uses Colter's own cells from his own bone marrow and then are re-introduced into his body to help accelerate the healing process. No foreign cells will be used.

This procedure is unfortunately not available in the United States. We would have to travel to Panama to have the procedure done. It is very costly. The cost of the treatment and travel (flier miles would be greatly appreciated as well) is about $22,000 and we cannot come up with the money by ourselves. So we are asking for your help. It's not often comfortable to ask for financial help, but we believe in the good of our communities and families and most importantly, we will stop at nothing to help Colter.

With the research we have gathered regarding stem cell therapy and autism we know there is a great chance this could do wonders for Colter and help heal his brain from the inflammation causing his autistic symptoms. The clinic where we plan to go, with your help, has a higher than 70% success rate with children like Colter. As a parent, how could we not try this?

All we want is for Colter to have the opportunity to live a productive and fulfilled life of independence and happiness and we are asking for your help to provide him with every opportunity to succeed.

Anything you can donate to Colter's cause will be greatly appreciated...Words can never express our gratitude. We'll of course update you on his status and you can take pride in knowing that your donation (no matter how large or small) helped change Colter's future. And whether you are able to make a donation or not, please pray for our journey and share Colter's story. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
