I have tried to lead a private life. I don’t like to bother others with my problems, because that is what they are. Mine.
Most of you know a little of what my situation generally is, because I tell you in person, after you ask.
I started a new job over a year ago. It is closer to home, has insurance for me and my family. Only down side was that the money I was promised is not what I am getting. Not the issue. Insurance. Close to home and family.
Then our car broke down. No money for repair, so we started using the second vehicle. That broke down. We began using the final option vehicle, my very generous mother in law’s car. And then that broke down as well. Money was spent on all three in order to try and get them running again, but to no avail. The process of this on the already limited budget put us so far behind on our rent payments that we now have a court date on Thursday regarding our past due money. A family member has a vehicle for us to aquire, but we also have to eat and have electricity and water for the house.
Those are just facts. The fact is that if I could work more to get the money I would. My job requires most of my attention. I tried working two but the main job was neglected.
A lot of you know of the medical issues that my wife deals with. She wants desperately to work and help. But that doesn’t seem likely for now.
I hate asking for a dollar. If I thought I could sell possessions to get us back on our feet I would. But honestly I know that I could get rid of nearly everything we own and still not scratch the surface in time.
If this issue only concerned me, I’d deal with it and no one would hear a peep about it. But it isn’t just me. I need to provide for my family in any way that I can. And I’ve been told over and over that asking for help is not weakness, but wisdom. I’m hoping that is what this is. If no one gives a dime, I won’t be mad. I’ll know that I at least tried an option to figure something out. If you are seeing this then I consider you family. And if I can return this favor someday, you have my word that I will.
