Chloe Wild College Tuition Fund

Donation protected

Dear family, friends, anyone really, that will be so kind as to take a moment to read this post! I am reaching out in hopes that I can raise enough funds to help with my college tuition.

My name is Chloe Wild and I just turned 17 years old. I am a senior currently attending Foot Hill High School in Henderson, NV.

As most parents and students alike know the heat is on to apply to colleges as a senior. Like many other students across the country choosing a college to attend in the fall is quite frustrating and a little scary.

I have an idea where I would like to attend college. I have considered the University of Arizona, UCLA, Davis, University of San Francisco, and UNLV all schools which grade wise I am eligible to attend.

Just a little about me, Chloe Wild:

All throughout high school I have strived and successfully maintained a GPA of 4.0 for the past 4 years.

While in school, I currently work a part time job at "PostNet", a neighborhood mailbox store in Henderson, NV.

I consider myself an athlete. I am currently a member of Club Swim. Boulder City-Henderson Swim Team (BCH Heatwave). I go to swim 5 days a week for two hours a day. I am a strong believer that a healthy lifestyle contributes to a healthy, happy life.

The application process as some of you parents / students may already know can stress a kid out. I have applied to quite a number of scolarships, most which require a 500 - 1000 word essay.  So yes, I've written quite a few essays.

Money is a big issue. The average college tuition will cost about 15k to 30k at a university.

I consider myself an over achiever and am currently enrolled in honors classes. I have big dreams and as the saying goes you get what you pay for.

I will be pursuing a forensic science / criminal justice degree. This major draws from the biological sciences, physics and chemistry as well as from the fields of criminal justice and the law.

I am not sure how much I will get in scholarship dollars, if any, but I am determined to succeed in life. That's why I am perusing this GoFundMe route to raising as much money toward my college tuition as possible.

I ask anyone who finds it in their heart to consider this as an investment, an investment in my future. An investment in someone who is determined to do great things. I consider myself a game changer and I promise to represent all those that believe in me by becoming successful, strong influential women.

The average state school will require at least $20,000 without financial aid. I hate the idea of taking out a loan. The idea that starting out in life with debt makes the objective of an education to me null and void.

My parents have instilled characteristics in me that reflect honor and integrity. A loan of $20,000 will only make me feel that I have burdened my parents with debt.

My mother always says that Im worth it and I love her for that. She has been my rock, my guidance despite many road blocks. This is one thing I would like to attempt, this gofund me, on my own. I would like to take the burden off my parents.

I feel that everyone has a story. My story is private. Those who know me know the struggles of my family. I am embarrassed and a little ashamed to expose myself on a level where I feel like I am begging and need to pull on the heart strings of others.

My objective it to position myself as the future. I live in Las vegas where $5, $100, $5000 is freely put on a betting table and lost within seconds. This bet would not be one lost. You would be investing in me!

Please understand this is just an attempt to help me financially along the road to college and a successful life.

When I read all the GoFundMe accounts posted, some are just heart retching. I felt, am I just as worthy as the people in need?

I think of it this way. I can make a change in the world -- asking my friends, family and strangers to invest in my future is a cause worth perusing.

I believe in paying it forward. Once I have been given a helping hand there will come a day when I will pay it forward and make a difference in someone else's life.

So no judgment please! Consider this a social experiment. My mom always say's dollars and cents add up. Just this once, please consider contributing to a sure bet. ME! Contribute to my college tuition fund.

Consider this a coin jar. Every penny counts. Your money will help send me to college. I'm not to proud to ask. This is one of the most important things I've ever done and that is to put myself out there and ask for a helping hand. I promise that I will make you all proud by being a strong, educated, influential women in society.

I promise to give back and to pay it forward. This money will be used only for tuition. Thank you for taking the time to read my request. God Bless. #GFMScholarship SaveSave
