Collapsible Tank for Firefighting

GOAL REACHED—THANKS TO ALL DONORS! This week, a house fire on Mudge Island spread quickly to surrounding forest and grass. A large volume of water was needed to contain the fire until the helicopters arrived with Bambi buckets, and we needed more afterwards to keep sprinklers going over the site throughout the night and have water on hand to deal with hot spots. The collapsible water tank loaned to us by the Forest Service once they arrived was crucial. A collapsible tank has been on the Mudge Island Citizens Society (MICS) wish list for a while. After this week's fire, which destroyed our neighbour's home and came uncomfortably close to ours, I'd like us to get one of those tanks sooner rather than later. I saw firsthand how important it was in enabling us to put out the fire. We want to buy a Husky LS-1000 self-supporting tank plus adapters, ground cover, and heavy duty hose caddy. It all comes to $1848.48 plus shipping. We rely on donations for all of our firefighting equipment. Can you help MICS get one of these so that we can have one on site for immediate use next time?
