In September, I had the privilege of being introduced to Colin and his wife Jane, in circumstances that were not so fortunate. I was travelling home from work and when I was coming to a busy SE London roundabout, I saw a motorbike spinning on the floor. Colin had been thrown off his bike and is now unfortunately paralysed and has been in hospital since. Myself and emergency services were there for over an hour, and this is when I first spoke with Jane. He was taken to hospital and has been there since. Colin is now in a specialist unit, and is potentially going to be there for the next 4 months, meaning that he will be missing Christmas with his family and friends. Jane and their children are so strong, and although I haven’t met them yet personally, I feel as though I would like to do something to help them this Christmas. If you could donate, even a small amount, so that Jane can make this Christmas as normal as possible for their kids, maybe even spoil them a bit, I would be so grateful. They do not know I am setting this up, and Jane doesn’t seem like the type to accept “charity”, but this family are deserving of everything and their circumstances have completely changed my perspective, life can change in a split second so cherish it!
