Mi nombre es Stephanie Vializ Pagán. Mi hijo Kendsiel Vializ, de 5 años de edad, fué operado del Quilotoráx a los 2 meses de nacido, para luego ser diagnosticado de Síndrome Pierre Robin Dextrocardia (corazón en el lado derecho), Bilateral Dermolipoma en su ojo izq (tumor benigno necesario ser removido), y recientemente con Leucemia Linfática.
My name is Stephanie Vializ Pagán. My son, Kendsiel Vializ, who is 5 yeras old, had surgery at only 2 moths old, because of his condition of Chylothorax. Later he would be disgnosed with Pierre Robin Syndrome, Dextrocardia (right side of heart), and Bilateral Dermolipoma (Benign tumor needed to be removed). But most recently he has been diagnosed with Lymphatic Leukemia.
La noticia de la Leucemia nos ha tomado por sorpresa y ha sido un golpe económico fuerte. Soy una enfermera práctica que desde el nacimiento de mi hijo no he hecho nada mas que luchar por su bienestar y darle los mejores cuidados para atender sus condiciones ya existentes. Lamentablemente este nuevo diagnóstico, conlleva una carga económica que no se había previsto.
The Leukemia diagnostic has taken us by surprise, and has hit our finances pretty bad. I am a practical nurse who since my son's birth have done nothing else but fight for his well-being, and provide him the best care for his exisiting condidtions. Unfortunately, this new diagnostic brings with it an economic burden that I never could forsee.
La nueva condición de mi hijo sumada a la situación económica del país, me obligan a tener que abandonar la isla para poder ofrecerle un mejor cuidado, y poder obtener un mejor empleo que me permita sufragar los gastos relacionados a sus necesidades.
My son's new condition, in addition to the dire economic situation my country (Puerto Rico) lives, pushes me towards relocating outside from the island, so I can provide him with better care, and to be able to obtain a better job that let's me afford the expenses related to his necessities.
Kendsiel es un niño vivaracho, alegre, con una imaginación exquisita, y una ganas increíbles de vivir . Su vida ha sido plena y felíz. Kendsiel is a very bubbly, happy boy, with an exquisite imagination, and an enormous will to live. His life has been full of joy. I only hope to keep that smile in his face, while providing him with the best options possible, for him to succeed in the upcomin battles.
