Hi everyone,
My name is Cole and my name is Thomas and this is our story.
On November 24th 2013, we met in Boulder, Colorado in a coffee shop for our first date. Cole had been living and working in Boulder for about four years and Thomas had just arrived from Austria and started working as an aupair. We started dating regularly and it did not take a long time to realize that we found the right person in each other. A year passed and Thomas decided extended his stay in the states for an extra year.
In July 2015 Thomas’s visa ran out. He was not able to change his status and he had to move back to Austria. Since then we have been in a long distance relationship. From Austria to Colorado, we live in an 8 hour time difference which makes it really hard to keep up with the life of the loved person. We have only seen each other twice over a year. The distance is putting a lot pressure on our relationship, but when Thomas visited Cole the last time in January 2016, Cole asked Thomas to marry him (see his letter below). Thomas said yes!! Our plan is that we want to have a family in Austria. Cole wants to move out and get married to Thomas as soon as possible. Sadly, certain circumstances with immigration and moving have not let us fulfill our wish of being together. Moving dates have been moved to later dates to later dates to later dates, so we decided to try GoFundMe.
Your contribution will help us with travel expenses, marriage licensing costs, translating documents for legal marrying in Austra, translator during the wedding ceremony, german classes for Cole.
