Cofton Reptile and Rodent sanctuary Ltd Reg: 12088089 non-profit Hi, thank you for taking a look at our campaign. We are a registered non profit organisation that rescues reptiles and rodents who can no longer be cared for by their previous owners, our mission is to help get the health and well-being of these animals back up to optimal condition and then if found suitable for re-homing they will join our adoption programme. We are an unfunded service and do what we do out of pure love for all the different animals we have. We started of with just a couple of snakes and a lizard as hobbiests, then the idea came to us to start a rescue as our middle son has signed up to study reptile care at college this year. After liaising with the RSPCA and other organisations we came to realise that reptiles and rodents seem to fall through the safety net with care unlike more common pets like cats and dogs for example. Some people are just not aware of the time and commitment it takes to care for certain pets or know just how long their life span could reach. We provide a rescue and adoption programme which is fully vetted using the RSPCA guidelines and are hoping to move into educational programmes in schools in the near future.  Help us to be able to rescue even more reptiles and rodents by helping us to provide more housing, equipment, toys and veterinary care. All of our rescues have access to a pool and play area that they use every day along with regular handling to help stimulate healthy minds.
