Cockappella 2016 General Fundraiser

Cockappella is the University of South Carolina's premier co-ed a cappella group. Established in 2008, our members come from different musical backgrounds, majors, hometowns, we have different interests and are all unique. But we share a common love for music and we love sharing that with people! 

Our unofficial motto is that we take music, but not ourselves, seriously. The group thrives on combining work and play, all while pushing toward a constant goal of making beautiful music. 

Cockappella performs at and participates in various on and off-campus events, ranging from performances at student organizations' philanthropy events, singing at sorority and fraternity chapter meetings, off-campus concerts and regional competitions. We have traveled throughout the southeast to perform and compete; these have been some of the most rewarding experiences, especially as our hard work and dedication paid off greatly when we progressed to the ICCA Semifinals this Spring. 

Throughout the year, we host various fundraising events, sell merchandise, and accumulate funding through member dues. While our semesterly fundraising efforts help, they are not enough to help us reach our ultimate goals of sharing a cappella music with as many people as possible. 

This is where you come in! Our primary goals for this year are to produce an EP (essentially a mini-album) of professionally recorded songs, as well as a professionally produced music video. We couldn't be more excited to reach these milestones and get back in the studio for the first time with our current members (since Cockappella's most recent album in 2013)! Our hope is to also have some funds remaining after these expenses in order to purchase our own sound equipment for performances.
