WE WANT "THE 32550" TO BE BETTER:
We are a group of concerned Miramar Beach residents who want to raise awareness about the safety and infrastructure needs of our lovely and growing community. Our focus is on improving kid-friendly neighborhoods and encouraging Walton County officials to provide appropriate attention to construction of sidewalks and waste water drainage. We are requesting the creation of a large multi-purpose park with playing fields, walking trails, a dog park area, as well as a covered recreation and cultural community center.
Our community has evolved in recent years to become the largest town in Walton County. Yet “32550” is still little more than a zip code. We are eager to build a home town both locals and tourists can enjoy year round.
A number of us have already organized a petition, passed out neighborhood fliers, and encouraged neighbors to attend both neighborhood and county meetings.
We have informed concerned neighbors about the ongoing development of the Golf Garden and its potential to become a future Miramar Beach Recreation Center. Now we hope to do more.
We are asking you to help us raise funds to run local newspaper ads, print flyers and posters, and cover PR consulting fees to rally all residents of our beautiful community to pressure local government to plan for the future and to give Miramar Beach the infrastructure and amenities that it deserves. The more we raise, the better.
If we don’t spend all donations received, we pledge to donate any remaining funds to local non-profits for the betterment of Miramar Beach.
