I.S. 192Q Robotics Team to St Louis

$10,490 of $20k goal

Raised by 142 people in 13 months
We are the Robotics Team from I. S. 192 in St. Albans, Queens, New York. The team is made of 7th and 8th grade students. We just won the 1st Place Champion's Award at the NYC FIRST LEGO Leaugue Championship tournament. Our team is now invited to the FIRST (World) Championship tournament in St. Louis, Missouri. This event will take place April 27 to April 30, 2016.
There are 14 members on the team. We would like everyone to go but some families are unable to afford the trip. The money will go toward airfare, hotel, meals, and other expenses.
We need the money as soon as possible so we can plan the trip and see how many students and parents would like to go. It would be great if they all could all go because everyone contributed to the teams success.
We are very thankful to anyone who can help us on our journey!

The link I provided in the previous update did not completely work. It will take you to NY1.com. Go to the NY1 homepage, and search "robotics" to find the video. The title of the video is "St. Albans School to Compete in Robotics World Championship". Enjoy!

The CN:Rogue Robotics Team was visited by Shannon Ferry of NY1. She interview team members, observed how they work together, and how they are preparing to compete in the upcoming F.I.R.S.T. World Festival Championship in St. Louis. Here's the link:

Hello my dear students! I can't express how proud of you I am. Not only have you made our school and community proud, but you have also helped fulfill both of my goals as an educator. I've always wanted to teach in a school that was number #1 in something. Your win at the Javits Center fulfilled that goal. I've always wanted to teach in a school where one of the staff members was or was considered for teacher of the year. Ms. James who is currently in the running for teacher of the year has fulfilled that goal. Now that you and Ms. James have helped to fulfill those goals and our school is among the best, I can now move on to the next phase of my life. Make us proud in St. Louis!!!
