Club 400 Keltner Family Fundraiser

Donation protected

On May 2nd Club 400 will be holding a Cub's Charity event raising funds for Deputy Jake Keltner's Family. We are looking for silent and live auction items to be donated along with financial donations for the family. You can find more information on the event at www.club400cubs.com

On March 7th 2019, our lives changed forever. Deputy Jake Keltner was shot and killed in the line of duty. On that dark day a horrible man took away not only a devoted police officer but a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. Jake worked for the McHenry County Sherriff's Department alongside with the US Marshall's Taskforce. Jake was a great man in and out. From the time he could speak he knew he wanted to be a police officer and protect others. His colleagues spoke only of his greatness, many saying that he was their mentor and they aspired to be like him. There was nothing he couldn't do well at his job. But even more than that he was first and fore most a family man. His wife, Becki, and his 2 young sons, Caleb and Carson, were his world. He always left his work at the door when he came home so he could give all his attention and love to his boys and wife. Caleb (who is going to be president one day) was just learning to play catch and baseball with Daddy and Carson loved to play cops and robber with him. Jake (all of us really) are die hard cubs fans. One thing that really brought our family together and bonded us were the Chicago Cubs. So this event doesn't just mean the world to us, it's an amazing tribute to an amazing life. "Cubs fans helping Cubs fans" could not be more fitting. The way Jake died does not make him the hero he is, the way he lived makes him a hero.

All of the proceeds of this event will be going to help Jake's wife Becki and their children. Please share this page and make it go viral! Although money cannot bring back the man we love so much, it will bring security to the family who is missing him. Although we are looking for money donations, we are also looking for item donations to put into the live and silent auction at the event. If you have or know anyone who would like to donate to the auction you can email me at [email redacted] My  name is Holly Castro and I am Becki Keltner's sister.
