On Thursday morning, Paradise, Ca was hit with heartbreak. The community is devistated ! The heartbreak continues. I want to first and foremost thank God for keeping my family safe. They are safe and alive and that’s more than what some can say. Please send a prayer for the families that were not so lucky.
Yesterday my brother, his pregnant wife and their 4 children woke to flames behind their home. They had little time to wake everyone up at 7am, grab what photos they could and important documents they could find and run. They grabbed their 4 daughters and jumped in their vehicle and left everything else they had, their home behind. My sister in law told me “we literally drove through flames with our home in the rear view. I thought the car was going to blow up, or my tires would go flat. We DROVE through flames while the girls screamed and cried scared in the back!”
They are left shocked, with nightmares, overwhelmed, heartbroken and devistated. But they believe themselves to be lucky because they are safe and my unborn niece or nephew is also safe. But they no longer have a place to call home. They no longer have clothes for themselves, their 4 daughters, or baby supplies they were saving for the baby on the way. As they scramble to form a plan, where to go, how to conserve the money they have on hand, where to put their children in school, a place to call home I’ve been asked many times by family, friends, loved ones how they can help. I’ve created this account for them so that they can have a little piece of mind. They don’t have a plan, they only know they need one.
They are in need of size 3T, 7 and size 9 sweaters and winter clothes and shoes for girls and any clothes and shoes for a 16 year old girl. They also need size 4 diapers. They need a deposit for a home, first months rent and furniture. They need a crib, and any baby items. They are in need of just about everything and every little bit helps. I will have donations mailed to my home if you would like to send necessities. Please pm me for the address.
Our family is is very fortunate and so grateful for all the love and caring prayers and thoughts and for how many people are eager to catch Marty and his family when they fall. We all thank you so much for any help at all. God bless, and hug your loved ones! We love you all!
