The Maasai are one of the semi-nomadic and pastoral people remaining in East Africa. In Mbala district, Pwani province in Tanzania, resides a large community of Maasai people. The village of interest, the Chamakweza Village has a population of about 5,270 men, women, and children. Due to their unique way of life and authentic dressing and rich culture, many people view Maasai people as a tourist attraction. Although the Maasai have managed to preserve most of their traditions and culture throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, they are currently faced with great health challenges. Unfortunately, they have been forgotten. They are the least in our society.

Maasai people are facing a number of problems. The two toughest challenges had been a lack of medical care and clean water. Imagine, living upon the mercies of nature, rainwater, seasonal streams and ponds which both humans and cattle share. The results for the humans are diarrhea, dysentery, cholera, typhoid, scabies, and various other infectious diseases.

Our company, Africa Transformation Embassy (ATE), a non-profit organization with Tax ID 74-3219798 based in Maryland, USA answered the call to help the Maasai people. With the help of your donations, we were able to build and dedicate a water well complete with a storage tank during our mission trip in 2015. So the problem of clean water in Chamakweza Village has been resolved, and we are forever grateful for your help.

Please watch the video below for an introduction to the Maasai tribe and the ATE mission to help the Maasai people.

For six year now, since 2011, Africa Transformation Embassy (ATE), through the support of kindred’s hearts, minds, and spirits of its associate humanitarians, have been conducting several medical missions to the Maasai tribe. Certified medical professionals from America participated in several medical mission trips to Tanzania to treat the Maasai people of Chamakweza Village. Our doctors saw in one day more patients than they usually see in a week in America. They saved lives by providing pharmaceutical drugs and treatments of illnesses and diseases. In May 2017, another team of Certified Medical professionals will be leaving for Tanzania. View the picture at the top showing Maasai people receiving medical treatment during one of the medical mission trips.

During our May 2015 trip, ATE leaders met with the Chamakweza Village Chief Mr. Seketo and other leaders who showed us a 50 acre land for a health clinic to be built to help his people who die aimlessely and thereby mitigating the problem. This land will also have education facilities for learning and empowerment of the Maasai people.

We have estimated the cost for the construction of a well-equipped clinic, along with its initial administrative building and an education facility will be $150,000.00. The project is divided into two phases:
Phase 1 – Construction of a medical clinic at the cost of $100,000.00
Phase 2 – Construction of an education facility at the cost of $50,000.00

Our focus now is Phase 1 – Raising funds for construction of a medical clinic. We are appealing to people worldwide of kindred hearts who will like to make a direct impact by transforming the lives of the forgotten 5,270 men, women, and children of the Maasai tribe in Chamakweza Village in Tanzania as we strive to transform one person and one community at a time. You can help by donating towards the hopes, dreams, and aspiration of the Maasai people. May you receive the abundance of God’s blessing as you remember the forgotten Maasai people. Your partnership will transform and save many lives. With your help, YES WE CAN BUILD A CLINIC for the Maasai people. WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW!

ATE and its partners are planning to go to Tanzania this July, from 13th-15th for a transforming conference and a thanksgiving rally to thank God for President Dr. John Pombe Magufuli whose agenda is to help the disadvantaged by fighting corruption and injustice. He encourages his people to work hard in order to eliminate poverty and diseases. After the rally, we will break ground and start to build the clinic. We thank you all in advance for helping us in transforming Chamakweza Village and saving lives.

Make this mission possible by partnering with us; by giving and inviting your friends to give to and be part of this life-changing, life-saving project. Your giving will help to alleviate the plight of the Maasai people. We thank you in advance for your generosity and we will be forever grateful.
