Climb Into Our Skin

In Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird", Atticus Finch famously said, "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view ... until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." That's what the Patterson freshmen scholars have spent the beginning of 2019 doing, and that's what we're asking you to do now.
After reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" in English class, we have an amazing opportunity to see the 1962 triple-Oscar-winning film at the theater! Watching Atticus, Scout, and Jem on the big screen would be an incredible experience that can't be duplicated without a time machine or a privately owned theater. But a showing in 2019 costs quite a bit of money.
We're asking for your help in making this unique trip possible. Tickets for our private screening on March 26 have been discounted for us to $5.50 each, which helps, but we have 150 students and chaperones, plus bus expenses. Please consider showing our students that the kindness of strangers didn't end with Boo Radley.
We would be so grateful for your consideration. Thank you for "climbing into our skin" for a moment as we anticipate the thrill of sharing this moment with our kids!
