Cliff’s Needed Medical Equipment

Last year in June I suffered sudden end stage kidney failure and complications including heart failure. I initially spent an entire month in the hospital as they saved my life. I’ve added to that Sleep Apnea and a urological disorder that requires surgery in January. It’s been a journey of constant exhaustion, endless paperwork and financial ruin. I am permanently disabled and spent 4 days a week in dialysis and the others in doctors appointments. Fortunately my other conditions are slowly making progress but the kidneys are permanent.

I’m asking for funds to purchase equipment that isn’t covered by my insurance - 1) an adjustable bed foundation that fits my existing mattress and bed frame so that I can sleep more upright without it affecting my breathing or digestive issues and 2) a mobility scooter, trailer hitch and carrier so I am not so homebound. As it is, I have difficulty walking due to my heart and kidney issues - it causes me shortness of breath and complete exhaustion. I would like to be able to go out with my family places without being in danger of collapse or being stuck.
