Cleats Count - Trip To Ethiopia

Donation protected

Hi everyone! My name is Taylor Ross and I'm a 19 year old soccer player. Of course as a soccer player, soccer has always been my biggest passion, but sadly, eventually that road might come to an end. Last winter I decided that I wanted to do something with my life that would bring other people, specifically little kids, the type of joy I feel when I get to play soccer. Having that in mind I created Cleats Count. Cleats Count is a new and upcoming 501c3 organization that brings soccer cleats to kids aged 5 to 18 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Ethiopia is one of the poorest and underdeveloped countries in the world and so my goal is to bring joy to the people living there through world’s most beautiful game. I want to inspire the youth to find happiness in these tough times and help them come together as a community by promoting teamwork, leadership, and smiles through soccer. Because some people say that charities often fail to live up to their promises to deliver materials, Cleats Count delivers all cleats personally by hand to the young kids of Ethiopia.
My first trip is coming up this April and I'll will be traveling with a 501c3 organization called Ordinary Hero for the grand opening of a new soccer field. On top of delivering cleats, because I'm traveling with Ordinary Hero, we will be serving and doing community work for the needy in villages, orphanages, and the countryside. Cleats Count is making its best efforts to raise money to fund this trip and we would be happy take donations from anyone we can. Thank you so much to anyone who donates or even takes time out of their day to read this page! If you send a donation, a pair of cleats will be donated in your name! I'm excited to share this with you guys because it's something everyone can be apart of! Any donations exceeding the goal will be used towards purchasing cleats and future trips. Anything you can do to help someone counts, cleats count!

If you are interested in donating cleats, there will be drop spots starting this week at the Wide World of Sports in North Smithfield and North Kingston. Possible future dropspots include:

Burrillville High School
BGYSA
Burrillville Middle School

Also feel free to check outOrdinary Hero's website! They are seriously awesome! www.ordinaryhero.org
