A labor and delivery nurse who dedicated her life to caring and helping others now needs your help.
Claudia has been an L&D nurse at Silverton Hospital for 13+ years. While most people are sleeping, Claudia is working. She is working with women who are at their most vulnerable. She is empowering them. She is giving them strength to move when they believe they cannot go forward. While most people are sleeping, Claudia is saving the tiniest of humans. She is breathing for babies while their parents hold their breaths to hear that very first cry. Claudia does this during holidays, weekends, family events, and precious moments she will never get back.
In December, Claudia and her family received the news that we all fear. Claudia was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Not only is Claudia faced with an uphill physical and emotional battle, her family is burdened with a financial one as well.
As you probably know, treatment is expensive. Claudia is undergoing chemotherapy and genetic testing in Portland, Oregon with the possibility of radiation and surgery to follow. This is where you can help Claudia and her family win this fight. Your support will help ease the cost of this expensive, but life saving treatment. No one person can do everything, but everyone can do something.
