Finding Common Ground in Clarkson

There have been many changes in our country. Changes that have greatly affected our ability to govern and to participate in the democratic process. We are at a crossroads in our history, where there are two choices– either continue to subscribe to the status quo or to take a chance and make Clarkson an amazing place to live, to work and to celebrate. To fully subscribe to the American dream, we need to find COMMON GROUND. To work together. In order to do this, we really need your help.

COMMON GROUND candidates pledge to keep taxes low while increasing services. We will institute transparency by making town board meetings accessible to all residents in real time with technology and to use the internet to connect with constituents. Our parks/green space are underutilized and require maintenance to remain safe for residents to use. Safety is our number one priority. The Seymour Library hours have been cut, even after having the second lowest overhead in the entire Monroe County Library system. Our candidate for Supervisor has offered to donate his first year salary to the library. This is all very progressive, outside of the box thinking to solve real world issues that effect us all.

Our current slate of candidates have vowed to enact term limits on all elected officials and to open up government to all the residents of Clarkson, regardless of political affiliation. Nepotism and political favoritism will become a thing of the past, and all residents of Clarkson will have an equal voice. When we all work together, we can do great things. Finding COMMON GROUND is not only possible, it is the roadmap for a better Clarkson.
