Claire Lydia Conquering Lymphoma!

There is nothing like a happy, healthy smile. And I'm trying to keep smiling during this challenging time of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Hi, I'm Claire Lydia Jean-Louis Desroches and I was diagnosed in June 2016 with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

It hasn't been easy, but I have taken this disease as a challenge. I say that this is a “journey” not a fight. It is a journey that I have to take and see what it has to teach me while I am being cured along the way.

I sure am learning. We’re here to live life, not struggle.

I received six chemo therapy treatments in 2016 and I was very close to remission as of January 2017. And then I had a heart attack on January 11th. That was a set back. Then in June of 2017, I learned that I was not out of the woods...I had a relapse of the Lymphoma.

I am currently receiving a second round of aggressive chemo therapy that is preparing me to have Stem Cell Transplant at the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center, before the end of the year. This procedure is pretty expensive and as we know, insurance doesn't cover all medical cost and expenses.

Please help me save my life with the opportunity to receive this Stem Cell transplant before the holidays.
