Don't Sugar Coat It....Help a Sister Out
Donation protected
My sister, Jenna has lived with type 1 diabetes for over half her life. The struggle has been real. Her most recent challenge has been not catching low blood sugar in time, which has lead to issues at work and even a diabetic seizure. She has been presented with the opportunity to get a Dexcom continual glucose meter, which would automatically test her sugar every 5 minutes and send the results directly to her cell phone. Her phone would alert her if her sugars were trending towards a high or low, allowing her to treat it before it even happened! And she wouldn't have to prick her fingers 5 times a day anymore!
Unfortunately these little machines are pricey and the initial startup fee isn't in Jenna's budget. We are asking for a total of $1000 to cover the purchase of the machine, first 2 months of sensor refills and the training needed to get started. Anything you could donate towards getting her on a healthier path would help!
