CJ is still.. fighting Colon Cancer

Donation protected
Two weeks ago CJ had the misfortune of finding out that he has Stage 4 Colon cancer that has metastasized to his liver. Imagine being 39 years old and hearing what none of us ever wants to hear.  This has been devastating to him and to his wife of two years and best friend, Stacy. She is so strong and supportive. Unfortunately she has had to cut way down on her work hours while taking care of CJ.   So with bills mounting for even the most basic of needs, like food, rent, deductibles and copay's, they need help.

There are some people who really stand out as giving people.  You know who they are.  They are among us all.  You might find them in a soup kitchen feeding the hungry, or on a street corner offering help to the homeless.  Some of them not only help humanity, but help  animals, as well.  These are people who unconditionally give of themselves to aid others.  Their sole purpose seemingly is just for that.

CJ, is one of those people.  He put himself through college to earn a bachelor's degree in psychology.  CJ spent the past five years working with special needs children and adults.  He also recently worked as a massage therapist, and a pet walker/sitter/behaviorist. Every weekend, CJ and Stacy have volunteered their time at animal rescues, walking dogs, taking them on hikes, and behavior training.  They have worked together in fundraising to help animal rescue organizations.

CJ has so much life and so much more to give. This is evident in the hundreds of smiles he has put on faces of others and in the many hearts he has warmed.  He is the first person to offer friends or even strangers help in tasks such as moving and  helping others in need.  Whenever there is an opportunity to volunteer just ask CJ; he will be there.

His passion is to help others, and he is not driven at all by what consumes so many, and that is money.  Ironically, this is a time when CJ needs just that, funds from friends, family and anyone out there who can help.  This is our opportunity to give back to one who has given us so much already.  Sometimes in life, you get an opportunity to really thank someone for the kindnesses that they have shown, and this is one of those times.

So if you've ever wanted to thank anyone you know or a random soul you don't know, this is an opportunity to do so.  Whatever you can give will help! Let's all pray for him and send positive thoughts his way.  Let's show him too that we can give back what he has already given to others.    Stacy and CJ will be so grateful.

Thank you.
