Help the Kids in Curtis Get a New Playground

Our kids are an important part of our community! They are our future, and they deserve an amazing place to play and hangout with their friends.
Please help the kids in our community have a new playground to play on! We are a small town in southwest Nebraska with a population of 900 people. As with many communities, our town does not have a lot of extra funds. Our playground is old with the newest piece being bought in 1990. Most of the other pieces date back to the 1950's and 60's. Many of the pieces of equipment are broken and cannot be repaired. Some of the equipment has had to be removed, and unfortunately the pieces have never been replaced.
Last spring, a committee of local volunteers was formed to select a new playground for our kids and to begin the process of fundraising. Our goal is to have the money raised by May of 2019, but since we are volunteers and each of us has a full time job and a family, the fundraising process is very slow-going.
We are trying to raise enough money to purchase a ten spin merry go round, a new swing set, and the slide and play structure pictured above.
The city has pledged $20,000 and we have received more $$ in donations through fundraisers, but we still need $100,000 to complete this project. We have a long way to go, so we are reaching out through Go Fund Me in hopes of reaching more people willing to donate to this worthwhile cause.
