City Centre Dance Flood
Donation protected
On January 23rd, City Centre Dance flooded with water due to the rain and high temperatures which caused snow to melt at a rapid rate. It was not the only building affected as news outlets in the GTA reported many other residences and businesses experiencing flooding. The water seaped underneath the floorboards, effectively destroying the entire dance floor where students take class. The repair costs to replace the flooring will be around $4,000 which includes the cost of materials and labour. Since its opening a little over a year ago, City Centre Dance in Mississauga has been an inclusive and welcoming space for dancers of all levels to train with the industry’s best. The studio has built a community that allows individuals to freely express themselves through dance and injects culture into Mississauga’s dance scene. Unfortunately, property managers of this unit have proven to be unhelpful with coming up with any sort of solution. We need your help with funding to get the studio back up and running. If you would like to donate to this fund, any amount big or small is greatly appreciated. Keep small businesses in business and the art scene in Mississauga vibrant! We thank you for your support as we cannot keep the studio running without you.
