My mother fell sick on Wednesday.. she was diagnosed initially with tension headaches and sent home. She then went back to the emergency room to be diagnosed with alpha-hemolytic strep which turned septic and ultimately into endocarditis. She was seemingly on the mend until last night when her health took a turn for the worse. She had to be intubated and sedated where she will remain for the next 3-5 days. After that if all goes well she will still most likely be at the hospital for the next 10-14 days after that. We are working with her job and her landlords, trying to take care of bills and the inevitable hospital bills from the countless tests and procedures done. The doctor believes she will make a full recovery but this is going to be a long process. Anything will help there is no desired goal, any money will be directing going to support my mom and my family with the expenses of this tragedy. She is currently in the ICU of Mercy Medical in Redding CA.
