Chuck Irvine Memorial Fund

Yesterday while in the car, Krista told me that she truly felt that her father Chuck  was a "Saint".  One of the definitions of a saint is "a person who is very good, helpful, or patient."  It is also said that a saint is a person who is recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness or likeness or closeness to God.  Now I have no idea exactly what God is like, but if he is anything like Chuck Irvine we are all in for a treat when God decides it is our time.

Chuck Irvine was a friend to all!  He was a man that devoted his entire life to helping anyone and everyone who needed him.  He was a role model to many...  A loving husband to is wife Maggie for over 59 years, an exceptional father to 5 amazing kids, a patient compassionate and caring grandfather, a friend to anyone and everyone, a handyman available for whatever needed fixed , a coworker or boss that would never ask anyone to do anything he wouldn't do himself, and overall just a great man!  Chuck was an example to so many!

This last Friday (September 7th), Heaven was upgraded in a big way when Chuck left us.  Everything happened so fast... It has been amazing to the entire family the amount of support we have all received since Thursday when Chuck first had his stroke.  The prayers were all felt and the love is greatly cherished.  The amount of lives Chuck touched is truly remarkable and we are thankful that pretty much everyone he met was considered to be a friend of his.

With the sudden loss of her beloved Chuck, Maggie is now on her own.  Many of you have reached out to see what you can do to help so we decided to created this page so that together we can rally to help ease a bit of the financial hurdle she has ahead.

As many of you know, Chuck worked at Bishop Kelly for over 25 years.  He poured his heart and soul into the school and developed many life long friendships along the way.  Bishop Kelly was family to Chuck and the only reason that he ever retired was due to the fact that he worked so hard that his body started to fight back.  After he retired he had to have a couple surgeries and a heart bypass procedure.  Luckily thanks to his faith, support from many, prayers, and a couple good doctors Chuck was able to recover from most of the procedures and was able to enjoy his life till the end.

But these medical conditions prevented Chuck from qualifying for any life insurance.  Because of this, Maggie will be left with whatever expenses arise out of the final attempt to save Chuck's life.  Any and all support raised from this will go directly to her to help ease the stress of the financial obligations she will be faced with due to medical and final expenses from Chuck's passing.

We as a family could not be any more grateful for all the love and support many of you have shown.  We greatly appreciate all of the kind words many of you have sent.  This is not going to be easy as Chuck meant so much to each and every one of us. Thank you for taking the time to read this and especially for all of your prayers over the past few days.

Final funeral arrangements will be finalized tomorrow and we will post the specific information once it is scheduled.
