Due to the widespread opioid problem in our community, we recognize the immediate need to supply conditions for stability and sobriety for these people suffering with addiction. We are partnering with Sober Truth Substance Abuse Treatment Program and together we are asking for your generous donations to be able to fund a new project: the Chrysalis Transitional Living Program. Your donations will help make this vision into a reality that can start changing lives. This program will house people suffering with opioid addiction who may be experiencing homelessness, coming out of rehab to unstable living conditions, or coming out jail/prison. Instead of expecting these people to remain active in their recovery while in a vulnerable state, we would like this program to equip them with tools to find success toward sober living and independence with housing.
Our community does not have any transitional housing and treatment programs that are provide services at no cost to the clients. Chrysalis Transitional Living Program will strive to be the exception. It will provide 30, 60, or 90 days to help individuals really transition back to their lives in the community without the stress of locating and maintaining affordable and safe housing. Clients will be clean, sober, and healthy because of Chrysalis Transitional Living Program's emphasis on substance use treatment and holistic treatment approaches (i.e. nutrition counseling, independent living skills training, educational development, etc.). Employment services will be offered, and we will help the client start a bank account and move toward independent and successful living. The aim of Chrysalis Transitional Living Program is to help vulnerable people in our community drastically reduce the risk of relapse and increase their potential for living! Your generous giving will surely make an impact!
