Christmas Tree Donations for the Less Fortunate

It's that time of year that giving means the most! Christmas time is among us and there are families of the less fortunate locally that cannot afford a Christmas tree to celebrate and symbolize this wonderful holiday. It is my personal mission to make that not the case this year for these families. Many are single mothers and families of low income that have been brought to my attention by outreach of the St. Norbert’s Catholic Parish in Paoli, PA and The Sisters of Life in Philadelphia, PA.

I am looking for charitable donations to fill a total budget of $500 to provide 10 Christmas trees to 10 less fortunate families whom have been identified and offered this gift in advance. This will include a tree, a stand, and string lights. Any donation is one dollar closer to making someone’s Christmas that much more joyful this year. I will personally match dollar to dollar any contribution.

Christmas is not about getting a nice day, getting nice gifts, getting what you want. Christmas is about giving and spending time with those that matter most to you and to those in need. This idea of mine is a reminder that life is good and I have been blessed so fortunately to be in a position to give back to others.

The delivery and setup date of the Christmas trees will be Saturday Dec. 15th. Looking forward to what we can make happen this year!
